Inside the Lab

The session opens with a keynote on Refoundership in the Age of AI, exploring why learning velocity, not technology or scale, is becoming the true competitive advantage for organisations.

From there, we move into an accessible AI Masterclass for HR, cutting through the hype to clarify what AI really isandisn’t for people, performance, and decision-making. You’ll get hands-on with practical tools and prompting techniques to build a shared foundation. No technical background required, just bring your laptop and your curiosity.

With this common baseline, participants break out into RiverLab working groups alongside HR leaders from diverse industries. Each group receives a hypothesis rooted in real organisational HR challenges and explores it using provided AI licenses. Drawing on contrasting company philosophies, teams build arguments for and against different approaches, debating real choices rather than abstract theory.

The session concludes with a Show & Tell, where each group shares its insights and trade-offs. The floor opens for honest, no-hype, real conversations about what these choices mean for organisations today, and what they demand from HR leaders tomorrow.

Gazing into the unknown

We’ll wrap up with drinks & bites, followed by a guided stargazing experience led by the Chairman of Volkssterrenwacht Amsterdam, using professional telescopes right on site.
